Our history

Mr Etienne Rogiers founded Cobelplast in 1957 as a private sheet extrusion company.

In the ’60s CobelPlast started producing monolayer sheets for FFS applications. The first co-extruder was installed.

During the early ’70s the production of the premiere coextruded barrier sheet (PVDC based) took place and the technology licensed to the US.

The introduction of the EVOH as a barrier took place during the ’80s. The forthcoming success implied the expansion of the production capacity.

The new century saw the growth of the PP based barrier sheets.

Since almost 70 years we are delivering high standard solutions, constantly investing in innovation, technically supporting, and working together with our partners and customers in order to meet their utmost expectations.
